Statue d'applique de belle taille représentant un evêque . En bois sculpé monoxyle anciennement polychromé . France  époque XV ème siècle .                                                                                                       

Le bois, très dense, est usé comme délavé, avec des restes d'apprêt et de polychrome. La posture hieratique fait ressortir la géométrie et la simplicité du drapé.

Montée sur socle pour la stabilié , la base n'étant pas régulière. Elle peut cependant être égalisée si nécéssaire.

The wood is worn, as if faded, with remains of primer and polychrome.
The hieratic posture highlights the geometry and simplicity of the draping. Mounted on a base for stability, the base not being regular.
